In 1989, Julian was fresh out of high school and found himself part of a fabulous movement called  "SINGERS" 

 This was a Pro Open Mic Jam night designed  for Session Singer here in LA.  A Concept that had migrated all the way form London, brought here by Jeb Miline and Sean Hollingsworth.

 "It was so incredible to be in a room full of the Best Singers in Los Angeles. Session Singers, Recording Artists, Song Writers, Back Up Singers & Jingle Singers." says Julian

After almost a 10 year run "Singers" had inspired, nurtured and uplifted countless aspiring singers and it no doubt left an indelible mark on all who participated.  However, little did Julian know that this experience had been preparing him all along for an extraordinary musical journey he was about to embark upon. It was in 2011 that Julian had started the "Spotlight Artists Showcase Series" at Lucky Strike LA LIVE Downtown LA. This was it  a big hit and he had all of the local up n' coming singers, recording artists and songwriters wanting to have their turn being the "Spotlight Artist" there each week. Julian even created  something called the "Live Band Fashion Runway" where he brought Singers and Fashion designers together in celebration of Fashion Week, 3 years in a row at Lucky Strike LA Live.

It wasn't until 2017 that he had the opportunity to start a brand new open mic night at a little place in Korea Town called Mama Lion.  It was there that it all came together in an incredibly magical way.  Pro and Semi Pro Singers, Up & Coming local artists poured in even more than they had at his previous venue.  They all wanted their turn to sing not only on his awesome sound system but also to jam with the phenomenal house band that he had brought in to play there each week. The Magic was back! "Singers" had found it's way back through this  very special open mic nights now entitled "Singers LA".

Local Singers now had a place to not only JAM with an incredibly talented and diverse house band, but also now they have the chance to build a sense of Community amongst the singers in LA. Something that had been missing in the scene for far too long.

Singers LA had officially been born and rebranded from what once was "SINGERS" in the late 80's early 90's.

One of the original founders of SINGERS   Mr. Sean Hollingsworth, flew in from the east coast where he currently resides, in order to offer his blessing to Julian and officially pass the torch on to him. An honor that was beyond words. Something so special and sacred.  Keeping the love of live vocal talent alive and well.

In November of 2019, Singers LA officially moved to the Beautiful

Everly Boutique Hotel in Hollywood. Corner of Argyle & Yucca , and now Finally that the dust is settling Singers La is Back at Herb Alpert's Vibrato in Bel Air California.  You can check thier website to find up coming shows.
